Let's talk about Trump starting Project Freedom... and it's over.... - Belle of the Ranch
Well, howdy there Internet people. It's Belle again. So, today we're going to talk about Trump starting Project Freedom and it's over.
Trump promised the US Navy would guide ships through the Strait of Hormuz. The operation called Project Freedom would take the place of Epic Fury. We went over the transition away from Epic Fury and the success or lack thereof yesterday which led to this message.
"You are just like those senators questioning Hegseth. Absolutely no respect for our veterans. I have never seen such attacks on troops like the Demon-crat party attacks Hegseth with. Our veterans are over there fighting and you're here talking about how bad it's going. You said the strait was still closed, but didn't even mention that Project Freedom was opening it. I know you knew about it because you mentioned Project Freedom in the video, but didn't say it was successful at opening the strait. You're just hiding the successes because you hate supporting America's soldiers like Hegseth.
Okay, we'll come back to that, but about an hour before that message was sent, Trump paused Project Freedom and posted to social media, Based on the request of Pakistan and other countries, the tremendous military success that we have had during the campaign against the country of Iran, and additionally the fact that great progress has been made toward a complete and final agreement with representatives of Iran, we have mutually agreed that while the blockade will remain in full force and effect, Project Freedom, the movement of ships through the Strait of Hormuz will be paused for a short period of time to see whether or not the agreement can be finalized and signed. President Donald J. Trump.
Trump definitely caved to pressure from Pakistan. It wasn't that Iran responded with missiles and drones and by the time it was over there was a South Korean tanker on fire and the UAE had taken a big hit. It looks like Trump bluffed and Iran called because they knew he didn't have the cards. So now at time of recording, we're back to the status quo with Iran in control of the strait. Now back to the message.
The senators questioning Hegseth were the Armed Services Committee. It's their job to do that because Hegseth is not in the military. He's the Secretary of Defense. That's a civilian position. Calling out SECDEF's bad planning or false statements is not undermining the troops. Hegseth implying the troops there were lying about the strike in Kuwait is undermining the troops. Leaving them within range without a hardened roof when the expectation was aerial strikes is undermining the troops.
And just to clarify some terms, you're a civilian. Hegseth is a civilian. The people over there are active duty. I'm a veteran. Hegseth is a veteran. Trump is a civilian. Also, Trump is not a source, which is why I didn't say it was going to open the strait because every actual expert on it said what happened is what would happen. Luckily, it doesn't look like this little stunt got anybody killed.
Don't equate support for Hegseth with support for the troops. Supporting the lies of civilian bureaucrats and politicians is not supporting the troops. Supporting the truth is.
Anyway, it's just a thought. You all have a good day.
