One of our journalists had open heart surgery. He also had to go to the dentist recently — and his dental procedure cost more.

Why? Private equity owned dental chains are raising prices.

And insurance giants are refusing to cover rising costs, making you pay more and more.

dentists push for "whitening", "old filling replacement", overpriced and unnecessary crowns and bridges, and other overpriced scams. When dentists try and pull that on me, I decline and find an honest dentist.

To make up for the "discount" you get when you have insurance, they push even harder for extras so insurance is a waste of money.
