You don't have to be Christian or Catholic to understanding the simplicity of the teachings of Jesus.
All you have to do is be a role model for what he taught.
Kindness, compassion, empathy; the understanding that we are all children of God.
You don't have to like everyone, but you need to respect the spirit that dwells within each of us.

In the end, it's all about the content of your life; what you say and do that defines you.
Religion is irrelevant. Even atheists are not judged by God for their disbelief. It's the love you bring to the table of life that God is concerned about.
Jesus taught a gospel of love, and yet a lot of Christians think they can proclaim Jesus in their lives, while living a life that is the antitheses of his teachings.
We are here to learn the lessons of love, and so many of us are failing in that basic lesson.
