Let's talk about Trump rolling the dice on regional conflict.... - Belle of the Ranch
Well, howdy there Internet people. It's Belle again. So, today we're going to talk about Trump rolling the dice on a regional war.
As Trump continues to try to negotiate over Iran's nuclear program, which he claimed he already obliterated, he's being warned by more and more experts that it won't be an easy affair to shift the government in Iran. Trump has yet to articulate any form of plan for a transition to a new government. Trump likes to point to the big ships we have in region. And yes, the Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group was redirected from the Indo-Pacific and is now in the Middle East.
The Lincoln is a country toppler, but it's not a regime change machine. It can't assist new leadership. Experts are obviously concerned because of, you know, the whole reason he's trying to negotiate. Generally speaking, advanced international affairs experts refer to having uncertain leadership in a country with a nuclear program by the highly technical term of a bad idea.
Beyond the in-depth technical analysis of his concepts of a plan for a sketch of a future war, there's growing concern over his que sera sera attitude when it comes to the possibility of sparking a wider regional war with an attack on Iran. A reporter asked Trump about Iranian leadership, saying the attack could spark a regional war. And Trump said, "Of course he would say that, but we have the biggest, most powerful ships in the world over there. Very close. Couple of days, and hopefully we'll make a deal. We don't make a deal then we'll find out whether or not he was right.
We'll find out whether or not he was right. Maybe after a solid year of consistently pushing our closest allies away, you know, the kind we would need in a regional war. It's not a great idea to play let's see what happens with the lives of American service members. We had NATO combat vets who fought for us before protesting at our embassy in Copenhagen because of the insults from this administration. I can't speak for them, but I feel like they might let the phone ring the next time we call.
A senior adviser to Iran's Supreme Leader said, "Any military action by the United States from any location at any level will be considered the start of a war. The response will be immediate, comprehensive, and unprecedented. The aggressor, the heart of Tel Aviv, and all those who support the aggressor will be targeted.
One of the problems with openly indicating the goal of a military operation is regime change that goes far beyond all of the logistical and planning issues that generally cause the operations to fail is that if you indicate you're going to remove the government ahead of time, those in the government have no reason to pull punches or seek peace once the fighting starts.
A lot of you got a kick out of the last time I quoted him {Sun Tzu}, so I'll drop another. When you surround an army, leave an outlet free. Do not press a desperate foe too hard.
Anyway, it's just a thought. Y'all have a good day.
