Tennessee has long been a battleground for civil rights, from the Nashville lunch counter sit-ins to Martin Luther King Jr.'s assassination in Memphis. This week, that legacy was tested again as Tennessee Republicans redistricted and eliminated the state's only majority-Black congressional district.
