i]In Lawrence Wright’s new novel, “The Human Scale,” an Arab-American FBI agent and Israeli cop work to find the murderer of an Israeli police chief. It’s an electric thriller grounded in Wright’s decades of journalism on the region. “I badly have tried much of my career to explain what's going on in that region,” said Wright.
“But I decided maybe the best way of doing it is to create characters based on people that I've known, conversations that I have had so many years of that, and put them into a novel in which no matter where the reader is coming from, he has to encounter the opposite, the other, and see that the world through that perspective.” -Aired on 03/23/2025.
