Bob Woodward writes in his book “War” that retired General Mark Milley, who served as the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff during the Trump administration, called Donald Trump a “fascist.”

I just posted a Chris Hayes MSNBC clip that addresses the same thing. Milley calls Trump out as a fascist who is the most dangerous person in the country. If Trump gets in office it will be Project 2025 and the end of American Democracy. This is not a normal election. It is democracy versus fascism. British media are quoting General Milley but where is American media? I have only seen this on MSNBC. Mainstream media needs this to be the lead story until election day and probably beyond. Trump and MAGA intend to contest the election if they lose and if they get back into power it is all over. No more democracy. A MAGA Fascist state. That should be the headline every day until election day. Project 2025 is a blueprint for a fascist takeover of our country.

And I certainly agree that this is the most perilous election in American history. We've had "normal" elections for almost 250 years, through and in spite of two World Wars - and this country even survived a Civil War. But the only time that we nearly failed to achieve a "peaceful transfer of power" was when the least qualified POTUS in our history (who lost the popular vote twice) sent his supporters to attempt to overthrow the government. The majority of them are now serving time in prison. Have they - or he - learned nothing?? What sends me over the edge is that, as a convicted felon, he was allowed to run for a third time, and that he has yet to face legal consequences for January 6, 2021.
