(221,704 posts)I'm in Northeastern New York and we get a lot of tourists, regulars who spend most of the summer here, many from Florida. And there's one older couple who I've become friendly with for the second year in a row. They live near Tampa and returned home to Florida two weeks ago.

(18,714 posts)We definitely get New Yorkers down here. I honestly hope they stayed in New York until after November so they dont have to deal with this.

(281 posts)live with friend who has been here and through this multiple times. Place we in seems very secure and only ? here is this big tree across the parking area. We packed up car to evacuate - qualifies to "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation. Guess it best it can be. Everybody else, use your best judgment. We are staying and wishing and praying. Good luck to everyone else affected by this.
