Missouri executes man despite prosecutors, victim's family saying he should be spared - PBS NewsHour

Tuesday, Missouri executed Marcellus Williams over the objections of the local prosecutor and against the wishes of the murdered victim’s spouse. Earlier this year, the St. Louis County prosecutor filed a motion to overturn the conviction, citing a lack of credible evidence, ineffective trial counsel and racial discrimination in jury selection. William Brangham discussed more with Jonathan Potts. - Aired on 09/25/2024.

Missouri used to be a moderate, sane state. We once had Democratic Governors and common decency. When the republicons took over they destroyed this state. Now Governor Parson and the MO Supreme Court have killed an innocent man. My heart breaks for his family.
