Not realistic. Many TX Hispanic voters are GOP and are gluttons for ill treatment. Uvalde is Trump country, for example.

Texas went 52-46 for Republicans in the presidential election. In 2018 Cruz beat Beto 51-48. But generally about one third of the electorate in Texas doesn't vote. There are also extreme voter suppression techniques being used this year, especially in Harris County, Houston. If the Democratic party could counter the disenfranchisement, intimidation, and suppression, and motivate the apathetic third, it would absolutely be possible. But it would cost a lot.
