WATCH: 'I believe in America,' chants DNC crowd with NJ Sen. Cory Booker - 2024 DNC Night 3 - PBS NewsHour

New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker led a packed house in a chant of “I believe in America” at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago on Wednesday, a night focused on fighting “for our freedoms,” from democracy to reproductive rights and more.

“Look in this arena, look around you right now. We are all our ancestors' wildest dreams,” Booker said. He then asked the audience to say with him, “I believe in America.”

“I believe in America… because when we elect Kamala Harris there is not a boy or girl in America from any creed, color, or heritage that will ever think being president of the United States is impossible again,” he said.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz will also formally accept the Vice Presidential nomination, a day before Vice President Kamala Harris takes the stage as the official nominee. - Aired on 08/21/2024.
