It was my great honor to interview him two weeks after West Wing wrapped for a magazine article. A half hour interview over coffee turned into a 3 hour conversation. When we finally parted I mentioned that my daughter and I were going to go to Sunday Mass the next day and was going to see what churches were near our hotel. A half hour later there was a knock on my hotel room door and there he was with a fistful of church bulletins and his personal recommendation of what church was the best.

He is so personable and just as he appears on TV. I have interviewed many celebrities in my career, he was the best by far. He even invited me and my daughter to his Malibu home to meet his wife, but we were flying out the next afternoon. I will never forget that interview.
