If genuine Republicans (e.g., Grand Old Party, conservatives, etc.) want to pick up the pieces of their wrecked party, they have to excise Trump and MAGAts by supporting Harris, at least for two election cycles.

save conservativism? which conservatism? reagans? that conservatism which cut taxes at the expense of balanced budgets? bush ll’s conservatism which led us into war based on the fictional claims of weapons of mass destruction and further cut taxes both of which led to even more unbalanced budgets? donald trump’s additional tax cuts and mounting deficits? donald trumps appointment of supreme court judges who perjured themselves and ruled that it is okay for the party of less government to regulate women’s health care?
book banning, law breaking, and insurrection can be added to those questions i posed that need to be answered as to why we should save a movement that is not conservative. republicans have for 40 years supported, under the guise of “conservatism”, a movement dedicated to the establishment of an authoritarian state.

They began dictating policy to voters and the economic system under Reagan. If we build an economy for the people with grass roots opportunity, conservatism will be on the ropes a long time.
