'Loser'? Trump trails Harris as she taps 'Obama energy' & history: MSNBC Trailblazers Summit - The Beat - MSNBC

Kamala Harris is the first Black woman to be a major presidential nominee — a rare breakthrough in a country that has never elected a Black woman governor and currently features no Black women in the Senate.

MSNBC’s Ari Melber reports on the complex history and convenes an in-depth discussion with four trailblazers in the field: Maya Wiley, Lori Lightfoot, Donna Edwards and Dr. Edna Greene Medford. This video reflects the extended discussion, parts of which aired on MSNBC’s The Beat. - 08/12/2024.

He spent a lot of time on the Civil Rights movement, what exactly had gone on and how George Wallace remained in power even though he couldn't succeed himself. So when I first saw the name Viola Liuzzo posted here, I knew exactly who she was and so many of those important lessons came flooding back. Here's hoping that your daughter experiences the same appreciation in the future. If I'm an example, I'm sure she will.
