interesting at the end where he calls it "muscle memory" -- what he's saying is that the media has been corrupted. unblock Aug 9 #1

the right wing has "worked the ref" for so long that there's now a double-standard, a chasm differentiating the way republicans get treated compared to how democrats get treated.

that's corruption. the media has abandoned all principle in order to curry favor with the right and to avoid getting bashed by the right.

*that* is why they have trouble covering his lies properly. because they have become far too corrupted to do it responsible and objectively and remotely consistent with reasonable journalistic standards.

And even the rest of us, who still cringe at everything he says or does, have become almost numb because we've been hit for so long by his constant lies and criminal and anti-democratic ideas and behavior. So that goes double for the media, they're so concerned with "access," they've become numb, too. It's like the fog-in-the-gradually-boiling-water analogy, the media has covered his outrageous behavior and threats for so long, they barely notice that he's become so much more dangerous in his years-long "campaign."
