Texas governor directs hospitals to ask patients for immigration status - CBS News



Texas Gov. Greg Abbott issued an executive order Thursday requiring hospitals to ask patients for their immigration status. CBS News immigration and politics reporter Camilo Montoya-Galvez has the details.

Everybody, citizens and non-citizens alike, should simply say that.

I'm sick of these authoritarian weirdos and their fetish for getting all up in people's business. They can ask, and we can (and should) tell them where to go.

and the next time there's an epidemic, well, I doubt any virus will care about "immigration status."

Not to mention, will everyone be asked, or only those who "look foreign?"

I suspect the latter.
