The beginning of this nightmare was when NBC perpetuated the myth that he was a successful businessman with the "reality" show "the Apprentice". They promoted this fiction. They got their ratings. And those that watched that show let their brains be turned to mush. It is so entertaining to watch people get "fired."

Trump doesn't know what mifepristone is. He has no idea. That is why he does the word salad when someone asked the question.

While he couldn't even successfully manage a casino, even when his father sent his driver there to buy $3 million in chips, and was fined for his trouble. Meanwhile, apparently his "viewers" never caught on that the show was scripted and that TFG often had to read his lines separately since he was incapable of leaning them for the show. And it looks like not only did his "viewers" buy into the fiction, but TFG did as well and is still playing a "billionaire" in real life.

And you're right, he has no idea what mifepristone is, he just kept flapping his gums until whoever asked the question forgot what they'd asked or just got sick of his rambling.

TFG's event was (ostensibly) a press conference. If Harris had scheduled a press conference I think that would have been covered as well. But Harris' event was basically a campaign event, and typically all the stations don't carry campaign events live. They don't all broadcast all the TFG appearances either.

45. The last time I saw liars this bold and the press this timid was during the Vietnam War

MacNamara lied to the generals, the generals lied to LBJ and then Nixon, LBJ and Nixon lied to the press, and the press took notes and lied to us. Nobody questioned the old male liars running things, certainly not the press.

Back then, our fact checkers were the guys who came back from that war, at least the ones whole enough to talk about it.

There is a big slab of black marble in DC that tells what this degree of lying to such an obviously supine press cost us all those years ago.

If the TV execs want to fill air time with that asshole, they need to flash a big, bright red "LIE!" across his ugly face with every single lie he tells. They'd get their ratings, people would tune in just to count 'em up.

We can't go back to 2016, it didn't work out well for us then and would be even worse with Round 2.
