Tennessee city passes resolution recognizing God, receives major backlash - Morning in America - NewsNation

A Tennessee city took an official stand on God, and now a national nonprofit argues it is “unconstitutional.” The Freedom From Religion Foundation criticized Mt. Juliet city commissioners who passed a resolution last week that called God the “Creator and King of all Glory.”

I can't recognize something that I have no proof exist.

The bible does not prove the existence of 'god'.

Where exactly is the proof for this 'god' ???

If it were proven that 'god' does exist I would recognize and accept that.

I would not worship 'god' because I think he is evil.

We are halfway through 2024.

When does the new enlightenment begin ???

(The listed date is "March 06, 1799," not "April 15, 1799," as stated in the clip.)

It mentions "the governing providence of a Supreme Being," "the Most High God," "the Great Mediator and Redeemer," "His Holy Spirit," and " the Author of All Good." I'm no expert, but these terms seem to be more similar to terms used by Deists, rather than by Christians.

Adams sought to steer a middle course between Deism and skepticism, on one side, and Calvinism on the other, that led him to lean toward Arminianism and ultimately embrace Unitarianism.

Unitarianism is a form of Christianity that denies the doctrine of the Trinity.
