(20,571 posts)point, re Kelly, who has a fantastic résumé but doesn't have the Shapiro oratory skills. I was going back and forward over what we traditionally expect a VP to be, IE in the background, so why have a big personality?
However, this election is so important that I'm coming to the conclusion that it needs to be all hands on deck, and picking someone who can take the case to the country is what is needed right now.

So Trump is doing us a favor by getting rid of democracy.
And the MAGA cult buys it.
The MAGA cult no longer wants democracy.
Because that means women, POC, LGBT, etc. can all vote.
Only white males are the legitimate rulers of this country.

How the hell do you explain the Christians voting remarks? Did someone say that in front of him just expressing the dream and he went with it on stage? I can't imagine anyone thought that was a good idea. That will not get him one single extra vote. At least I can't see how. Isn't everyone that would appeal to already with him?
