Nadler: Netanyahu's speech was 'fundamentally dishonest'

"His political interest is to keep the war going as long as possible - because he knows that as soon as it's over, he'll have to answer as to why he was telling Qatar to arm Hamas, why he ignored warnings about the attack on October 7th - including up to a few hours earlier - and why it took 12 hours for tanks to come 60 miles from the West Bank to the kibbutzim."

(I'd add to that: why was the Gaza perimeter wall - the world's most sophisticated of that size - down for several hours that night, and why did the IDF not react immediately)

Qatar sent millions to Gaza for years – with Israel’s backing

Since the October 7 Hamas attack on Israel, the Gulf state of Qatar has come under fire by Israeli officials, American politicians and media outlets for sending hundreds of millions of dollars in aid to Gaza, which is governed by the Palestinian militant group.

But all that happened with Israel’s blessing.

In a series of interviews with key Israeli players conducted in collaboration with Israeli investigative journalism organization Shomrim, CNN was told Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu continued the cash flow to Hamas, despite concerns raised from within his own government.

Bibi has to stay in power to keep from being tried for numerous crimes. Bibi is prolong the conflict in Gaza for his own purposes

"remains unwilling to conceptualize a post-war plan, and continues destabilizing the national security of both Israel and the U.S. He bears responsibility for the war due to his failed risk assessment of the Gaza border by relocating needed forces in support of his messianic political partners' demands, and his longtime reckless support of building up Hamas to counter the Palestinian Authority."
