A kid from the high school detailed how unmerciful the students were. Also, it made me wonder where this stupid guidance counselor was when this kid was ostracized in the school cafeteria.

Covering his ass, like the cowardly Uvalde law enforcement response.

About 30 years ago, a boy I knew was the target of a bully. He tried to avoid the bully, but it wasn't always successful. One day, the bully came up from behind him, locked his hands together, and hit the kid on the back of his head, causing him to fall and sustain a contusion.

Everyone knew what was going on: the students, the custodians, the vice principal, etc. The kid's parents went to the school, which maintained there wasn't a problem. To the contrary, the school tried to get the two boys to "resolve their problems" and to reconcile.

Frustrated, the boy's father went to the Police and filed assault charges. The bully was found guilty and sent to jail.

The school was concerned about civil lawsuits and feigned innocence and ignorance.
