(152,069 posts)I do come in from time to time, but not in any organized way (surprise, surprise)
When I get hopelessly lost, then I switch back to DU3!
I must say that I do miss the tabs! Those were very easy to navigate since they told you exactly what they stood for.
FWIW!

(106,328 posts)I assume this would be too complicated, but I will ask nonetheless. Is there any way to set a visual appearance specifically for mobile (e.g., Skinner mode), different from the one for online computer access (e.g., default)? Going in to change the settings each time depending on the platform is certainly doable, but I just thought I'd ask.

(22,540 posts)Unfortunately we don't have an easy way to do it at this time... the code doesn't adjust the layout between "desktop" and "mobile" based on your device type, but simply on your device width.
That said, technically, it could probably be done. There are one or two places in the code where we do need to detect what kind of device you're using in order to make certain things work, so it's not like this would be impossible to do. It would however be quite a bit of work I think, so it's something we might have to revisit down the road.

(22,540 posts)The fact is we selected all of you to test because you're the most active posters on DU, and we figured that if it works for you guys, then it will hopefully work for most everyone else.
I know there's going to be a bit of an adjustment period for some, so I'm glad to see it when people just get into it right away like you have

(22,540 posts)DU4 is not currently accessible for testing -- and to be honest I thought this forum was also not accessible until you posted in it. I should probably have Elad take a look at that.
EarlG
(22,540 posts)Do you currently have DU4 access...?
discntnt_irny_srcsm
(18,576 posts)I didn't realize it was live until I started migrating everything to a new pc.
This forum is still offline in du3 for me as me.
I haven't tried getting into du3 using the mirt credentials.
Also, I'm no on mirt this term.

(22,540 posts)Im afraid Ill have to let Elad know about this so he can turn off your access because were not open for testing at the moment, but I appreciate you letting me know.
It probably wont happen until Monday though so enjoy DU4 for the rest of the weekend. Hope it is all still working well for you
