Related: About this forumJust checking in for Amy!!
She's my choice!!
She's an unlikely choice, considering my "politics," (idealistically, I'm to the left of anybody out there). I support her because I believe she is all the right combination of smart, strong, self-disciplined, hard-working, intellectual, insightful, thoughtful, courageous, considerate, patriotic, compassionate, experienced, and collegial, in no particular order.
These are the characteristics that led me to support Wes Clark and Hillary Clinton. I'd love to see universal healthcare, a guaranteed standard of living, national quality childcare, indexed wages etc., but if we can't be real, we can't get anywhere.
I like Amy's "grit." I like her embrace of the midwest terrain. I love her quiet ferocity.
There are other candidates I like too, but she's my first choice.

(24,348 posts)I've been contributing to Warren, also. Right now I like them both (fading a little on Harris, though she's fine too). It's an "embarrassment of riches" -- three terrific women!!
I want to see Amy in the debates, but might have to head back to undecided for awhile.
