Warren has raised $6M since Iowa, says race is 'wide open'

WASHINGTON (AP) — Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren says she’s raised about $6 million from online donors since last week’s first-in-the-nation caucuses, fueled by people who want to see her stay in the 2020 race despite underwhelming performances in Iowa and New Hampshire.

The Massachusetts senator told The Associated Press on Thursday that she had spoken to Senate colleagues about the primary and that “right now, it’s wide open.”

“There’s a lot of froth. It’s going to be a long process,” Warren said during an interview in the hallways of the Senate.

Hours later, during a raucous evening rally at a high school gym in Washington’s Virginia suburbs, Warren didn’t seem like a candidate worried about leaving the race. The state is one of more than a dozen voting on “Super Tuesday” on March 3.

It's been so disheartening reading post after post on social media from supporters throwing in the towel, or "experts" saying she should drop out. I do think she needs new staff ASAP; picking fights with Bernie and others was a ridiculous tactic that seems to have hurt her. She's so much better than that, whoever advised her to go that route needs to be ousted pronto.

If Warren can stay funded through March, she may find herself in a three person race, along with Bernie and Bloomberg.

Fingers crossed...

I suppose that campaigns *always* need money, but I was surprised to read it. I got a text back asking if I'd mind saying why I had donated, so I texted them and told them.
