Bernie's September listening tour was a smash success. Now, in order to obey his cardiologist, he needs to pivot yet again. His record fundraising and volunteer support proves that he has multiple paths to victory.

The best campaigns employ surrogates with surgical precision (no pun intended). He has not done so thus far (or in 2016, for that matter). This is an opportunity to do so. Further, he needs to crush his rivals in the next debate. Reducing his workload until then will help him stay focused.

Between now and Iowa, he needs to morph his yuge base into a mobilized army of advocates out front every hour of every day. The cult of personality which emerged in 2016 remains inchoate this cycle. Now is the time to shove it in the kiln and show the world a polished, finished product ready to trounce his rivals in the primary and send Herr Drumpf packing.
