She did have good things to say, but I was a bit disappointed that she was not quite as forceful as earlier in the day, and seemed to walk back some of her strong statements made right after the hearing.

Kamala was strong in answering questions right after the hearing and later on Hardball with Chris Matthews.

No big deal, just sounded that way to me.

vs having time to reflect a bit and make a more thoughtful statement. It's not walking anything back, but "more nuanced" is probably accurate. And not necessarily a bad thing.
