and it was very emotional and down to earth. You need a lot of tissue to get through it.

I have his book, Promise Me, Dad, but I haven't started it yet. I know I'll probably be sobbing through the whole book.

You know Pat, when you think of all that man has lost.. and who and what does the right decide to concentrate their wrath and lies on.. One of his remaining children. It is just mind boggling.

My heart just breaks for him when I see such lowlifes attacking him and his son. If Trump and his minions wanted to go after Joe, they should have found something other than corruption. Anyone who knows anything about him, knows he is as honest and decent as they come. I figure that Trump has no problem accusing people of criminal behavior and corruption, because it comes so naturally to him. He just assumes it is the same with other people.

...for years before that book, it only reinforced my admiration.

One thing I felt bad about though, is that with everything Nelia and he did together, and how she supported him in his Senate campaign, he never mentioned her when Obama and he won in 2008 - wish he would have acknowledged her. That's just an aside, doesn't detract from how I feel about him.

I'd admired Joe for a long time before I read the book. His book touched me in ways I hadn't anticipated. I started a Joe Biden group here on DU back in 2007 that now is archived because to the primaries. There were a bunch of us here that supported Joe and that support bonded us as friends. I am still friends with most of them.

I don't agree with him on everything. Of course that would probably be true with anyone, but it is Joe Biden the person that I am supporting in this race. I really trust him. He is a remarkable person with an incredible life story, one that hopefully more people will get to hear. Add to that his extensive experience both in domestic and foreign policy, I think he will be an extraordinary president.

Oh and without a doubt, he will beat Donald Trump!

I had not read it, and to be honest I have a hard time keeping up with all the books coming out. So it was nice to have someone I know preview it for me One of the benefits of having grown children!!! I am going to get mine at the City Lights. It would be easy to order it on Amazon, but somethings are worth the extra effort and a drive a few miles to buy it locally. I now include Barnes and Nobles in those local stores ..

How he keeps it together is beyond me, but I felt the very same way about President Obama.. They have an inner strength that they just exude and it puts people at ease..
