Biden plans shadow coronavirus briefings

Politico

Joe Biden is planning a regular shadow briefing on coronavirus to start as early as Monday to show how he would handle the crisis and address what he calls the lies and failures of President Trump.

Biden gave a preview of what’s to come in a conference call with reporters Friday, where he listed a litany of false and misleading statements from Trump, who has been holding regular White House press conferences concerning coronavirus preparedness and response that have been broadcast live on all major networks.

the war powers act, and how we could have already had factories retooling to crank out respirators.

There are so many things that need more explanation than Trump is able to give. Joe will never put his ego above national safety.

I live in Georgia, and my husband and I are following recommendations from Govs Cuomo and Newsome. Our Governor, the election-stealing Kemp, is about as useful as a potted plant. He is unable to convey the gravity of the situation, and instead will spend ten minutes talking about prayer and worship.

As we only have one President at a time.

But these are not ordinary times and we do not have an ordinary President. Indeed, honing in on the pandemic group that Obama formed in 2014 and Trump abolished in 2018 would do wonders for informing the American people.

I would hope that the Democratic Party would have a contingency plan in place that would retain this shadow government counterpoint to the Trump monologue.

You know damned well that if Uncle Joe sweeps the polls and wins a huge victory in November, Trump isn't shutting down his pulpit. He will continue to govern the MAGATS and encourage them to undermine the government in both legitimate and illegitimate ways.

Trump has changed America. He has shattered our institutions and laid waste to centuries of progress. And he has encouraged tens of millions of people to join him in his callous vandalism. This shit needs to stop. Americans need to be reminded of what responsible government looks like, or we may never be able to retrieve it.

DAYUM somebody’s really being shrewd in the Biden campaign.

This is BREATHTAKINGLY shrewd!

Dayum! Whoever’s coming up with these ideas is Freakin’ BRILLIANT! Outstanding strategy, and if I read it correctly, it will have Biden fact-checking everything trump just said!

Like they say in the Almond Joy commercials - “Indescribably Delicious!”

We sure could use that in the White House. We sure could use a president who surrounds himself with advisors who really ARE the best ‘n’ brightest, and takes their advice - assuming of course it’s a Biden advisor and not Biden himself.

And if it IS Biden himself generating ideas like this, even better!
