Bernie Sanders is ending his campaign. ("sources" say, nothing direct from Bernie)

Bernie Sanders is ending his campaign. Sources close to him have told me the path was essentially impossible without Joe Biden imploding during the last debate.

primary today, I would vote for:

I hope it’s true. I predicted last week that he’d concede today and I’d like Bernie to prove me right, for the sake of party unity.

The voters are seeing that they want steady, calm determined leadership as Joe has been exhibiting because he does have the first and hands on experience.

Bernie Sanders brought forth good ideas that he can work Joe on these. Supporters now need to focus on the General Election.

An unfortunate side effect of cutting off presidential primaries in remaining states is that it also chokes down the number of voters who participate in those federal, state and local elections.

It’s time to end the intra-Party squabbling and turn our attention to fighting and defeating Trump, but also his party and the evil vortex from which it came.

A word to the genuine socialists out there: I do not agree with you BUT if you want your goals accomplished, you’d grow up and accept that this isn’t the year you’ll win the prize. Instead, you need to go to work building the long-term infrastructure you’d need to win.

I honestly think the pool of VP candidates should be those who currently don't have positions of responsibility in addressing this crisis (ie Senators, Representatives, Governors). Would a VP candidate be willing to go all in and resign their current position noting that a competent replacement can be appointed quickly?

We need to get moving on the general election and saving this country from the shitstorm after effects of Trump and the virus aftermath.

No time to screw around with placating Bernie's ego. I will believe he's dropping out when it happens though since narcissists rarely do what's right for the greater good.

I'll be the first to applaud the man's good sense. Because going any further when the message from the country is loud and clear is pointless. And in our present health crisis? Irresponsible.

I've said for the last couple days that Sanders has a choice: to have his legacy branded as a Statesman or a Spoiler. The choice is his. For the sake of the country, I hope he makes the right decision. People are exhausted and we still have a major fight on our hands, the most important fight:

Defeating Trump and his odious enablers.

Then the party should be similarly inclusive; I have issues with Sanders’ past conduct, but I believe a suspension now would prove that he means well and learned a lesson from 2016.

If Sanders and his supporters join the effort, they should be welcome. The enemy has always been Trump and his criminal enablers.

Let's get this done! For the sake of the country and our fellow citizens.

They floated this same thing last week to drum up media attention and when they got it said “not so fast we’re not dropping out.” He even called a “press conference.”

Bernie’s not ever going to drop out. Let’s stop falling for it.

I said 'If.' My acceptance is based on the conditional. If Sanders suspends now, he has a chance to put aside the vitriol, continue his work in the Senate and join the real fight of the now: defeating Trump and his enablers.

If he stubbornly chooses to push on, he will be labeled a Spoiler and should be regarded as such.

The choice is his.

He really should, and everyone needs to band together over COVID-19. Economics, testing, ventilator production, vaccines, kumbi-fucking-ya! We need Democratic pragmatics and optimism. We need a phalanx we can get behind and help.
