It really serves no good purpose. It gives his surrogates more opportunities to kneecap Biden. The scorched-earth philosophy of people like Sirota, Turner and Gray is one that's based on a desire to get revenge and inflict as much damage on the Democratic party as possible. so he's going to demand that they go on after there is really no path to the nomination for anyone but Joe.

"Public health"

Judging by his repeated recitation of the number of pledged delegates he won when he showed up to endorse HRC, he must feel that even a few pledged delegates benefit him somehow outside of the primary.

He doesn’t, and he never has. If he cared about working with others for the greater good, or had the faintest ability to do so, he would have more to show for his time in DC. than a bunch of named post offices.

He has spent a career reveling in refusing to play well with others. Why expect him to change now?

Bernie has no path forward to winning the nomination. Why can't he graciously step down and acknowledge the loss, cast his support behind Biden, and focus on the stark tragedy facing our country right now?? If he did that, he could cement his legacy as being someone willing to fight for progressive stances who helped bring about the end of Trump. To continue beyond today reeks of hubris.

There is no reason to keep these primaries going. Smaller elections and ballot questions can be postponed but the presidential election can't, and that's in the constitution. If he dropped out now, maybe we'd have a few less dead relatives when it's all over. You know many elderly people are going to go out and vote no matter what. Doesn't Bernie care that he's endangering them for a cause he cannot win?
