(42,862 posts)You know perfectly well that it will be used as a platform to smear the Democratic party. This charade needs to end. NOW.
This serves no good purpose. It's just giving false hope to Bernie's most die-hard fans... and it will make their transition and acceptance of reality unnecessarily difficult.
Although the Democratic party will be his main target, it won't be the only target. It's the high-level staff members who will attack Biden with RW talking points and other smears that originate in Russia to the likes of Cenk Uygur, Michael Moore, Cornell West, David Sirota, Brianna Gray, Nina Turner, Matt Orfalea, Phillip Agnew. Afterward, Bernie will try to act all "shocked" that they're "going rogue" without his approval.
As Biden and his campaign and all other stalwart Democrats strive to show how the Democrats are BETTER than the GOP... Bernie is busy telling everyone that there's "no difference between Democrats and the GOP" and "both parties are the same". And that the Democrats "are the party of the one-percent" and that we're "corrupt".
I keep waiting for some Bernie fan somewhere to please explain to me how these LIES and smears against the party do anything other than create resentment and suspicion? How does it encourage voters to support Democrats? It's nothing but negativity. Negativity generates apathy. Apathy discourages voter turnout. Low voter turnout gives Republicans a chance to steal the elections.

(28,833 posts)I would guess you haven't tried very hard. There have been 10 debates and the information is readily available from a variety of sources, including his website.

(1,874 posts)I'm not progressive but I was a Warren supporter and I've listened to Sanders' proposals many times. I gave every candidate the respect of listening to what they had to offer.

(1,729 posts)I am constantly asked by people on my Facebook wall what Biden's stand on the issues are. I give them a link to the Joe's Vision section of his website. Then, invariably, I get, "oh wow. I didn't know where he stood."
I try to be gracious and magnanimous but, really, how long have websites been a thing now? Talk about willful ignorance.

(8,738 posts)You didn't watch any of the other debates?
You don't have access to the internet (obviously a rhetorical question) and can't go to his website where various plans are spelled out?
Here, let me help:

The debate serves no purpose at this point. All it does is to stoke Bernie's need to be seen, and the KGoP's need for ammunition against Democrats in November.

(8,738 posts)I thought the "moderating" was awful. Lots of attempted "gotcha" questions designed to encourage a food fight.
Imagine, the Lincoln/Douglas debates lasted for hours--hour long orations, half hour long answers to questions.
Almost impossible to imagine anything close to that today.

(1,089 posts)I just saved you 2 hours having to watch yet another stupid debate so now you can go play a good video game instead. Try "Portal 2" or "The Talos Principle" in 3D...they'll both blow your socks off.
They've both been around for quite a few years but I figured if you don't know Biden's positions by now you might also be a little behind in video gaming as well.
