Why Joe Biden is uniquely vulnerable to Trump

https://www.alternet.org/2020/03/why-joe-biden-is-uniquely-vulnerable-to-trump/?utm_source=&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=3925

"Just when you thought this political year couldn’t get any weirder, along comes the entire Democratic Party establishment rushing en masse to the cliff’s edge, hurling itself headfirst into the presidential contest. What has spurred this gaggle of political operatives, fat-cat donors and former presidential hopefuls is a collective impulse to unite behind the very worst candidate the party could possibly put up against President Donald Trump in November’s election: Joe Biden.

While practically everyone in the political swirl admits privately that the former vice president is pretty slow, awfully corporate and practically bent double with a bag full of very bad political positions he’s taken during his decadeslong career as a Washington insider, his establishment cohorts are now resurrecting his dormant campaign by ecstatically proclaiming that he’s a “winner.” '

In 2000, he [Jim Hightower] joined with talk show host Phil Donahue and actress Susan Sarandon to co-chair the presidential campaign of Ralph Nader. He also appeared at Nader's "super-rallies" and stumped across the country for him.

Thu Mar 12, 2020, 04:05 AM
Mar 2020

Hillary Clinton had very high negatives. Some of them weren't fair but the right wing echo chamber had demonized her for decades. I think most people who aren't big fans of Biden are just like "he's fine." So we have a candidate that may not excite a lot of people but also doesn't really turn off a lot of people either running against someone most people in the center and left of it will crawl over broken glass to vote against. That seems do-able. Not a sure thing but very do-able if we work our asses off to get these literal fascists out of office.
