Sanders to press on against Biden after primary losses

Politico

Bernie Sanders is staying in the 2020 presidential race and planning to debate Joe Biden on Sunday despite a string of recent primary losses, according to a person with knowledge of Sanders’ plans ahead of a Wednesday press conference.

Sanders is speaking in Vermont after losing four out of six states with primaries on Tuesday, winning in North Dakota but falling to Joe Biden in Idaho, Mississippi, Missouri and Michigan — the state where Sanders had made his biggest stand to try to stop Biden's momentum this week. The primary in Washington state is still too close to call.

The results pushed Sanders further behind Biden in the delegate race for the Democratic presidential nomination, after Biden carried 10 of 14 states on Super Tuesday the week before. The two candidates are set to face off in a debate this weekend in Phoenix ahead of four more primaries on March 17: Arizona, Florida, Illinois and Ohio.

Joe Biden

In fact sanders may be non viable in FL with 219 delegates

The voters have spoken and it isn’t about some revolution

when support for Bernie in Florida is so bad compared to Joe?

Bernie is behind about 1.5 million votes and 150 delegates

Bernie is polling badly behind in AZ, FL & IL and well behind in Ohio.

Bernie is going to get spanked the following week in GA.

After that, Biden's two home states: PA & DE was waiting.
Plus upcoming MD & LA have a large black vote that's going to make them look like Mississippi or SC

So going into the last 1000 delegates, Bernie will be down about 2.5 million votes and about 500 delegates. Some of the large states remaining have large numbers of black voters.

How does Bernie maintain he's better in the general when he can't even be the best among the party he wants a nomination from?
