Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumCNN is discussing the state of the campaign, stopping short of saying Sanders should suspend.
They're saying he's getting deeper in the hole, and has no chance of winning next week's four states (600 delegates at stake)

(28,564 posts)This kind of moment is gut-wrenching.
I wonder if the campaign is second guessing all the granular contention over one delegate in Iowa. It kind of set a negative tone, in my opinion - congratulate the opponent and move on.
If Sanders drops out now, he's can go out on a high note, asking for everyone to come together when we are dealing with this national crisis. It's an opportunity I hope he takes.

(166 posts)I genuinely like the guy. His supporters on the other hand, at least the loud ones, not so much. Ive had enough of the Biden is a senile Dixiecrat racist who will take healthcare money and give it to Wall Street bullshit that I cant feel sorry for them.

(28,564 posts)I still think he poisoned the well against Hillary, with all of his "DNC is rigged" malarkey.
But, these moments are very tough. I don't actually think he'll win Washington. I think there are plenty of people who are smarting from the caucuses the last few cycles who will vote enthusiastically this time.
