what are you folks seeing...saw a couple unexpected layoffs from firms with folks close this week

unannounced.
first a private school....lays of a bunch of staff, combine classrooms, no more specials (art, music)

then my best friend who does training for a major corporation gets the message that about a third of her department were terminated while she was on site working half a country away.

both times the grim reaper did not strike those close to me, but damn......
wisconsin seems to me layoff central these days
