Martin O'Malley
Related: About this forumYou know who is working with O'Malley's O’Say Can You See PAC?
Bill Hyers — a man who played a really big part in getting Progressive MAyor Bill DeBlasio elected in NYC.
Bill Hyers is working with O’Malley’s federal O’Say Can You See PAC, which the governor uses to pay for his staff and raise money for Democratic candidates.
“Bill has been informally advising the Governor's PAC for the last few months,” O’Malley press secretary Lis Smith confirmed. “Now that the midterm elections are over, he is stepping up his role as a senior adviser. With his vast national experience on every level of campaign, we are thrilled to have him on board.”
Hyers has built a brand for himself helping longshot candidates win elections.

(4,458 posts)excited about this Dem primary. It's great to have a choice, for once
Raine1967
(11,626 posts)I felt like we had a lot of great choices in 2008. Towards the end of the primary it was really tough to decide.
I am glad with who we ended up as POTUS. I think I would have been glad with Ms. Clinton as well but in the end after my chosen candidate was no longer viable I made a choice. It wasn't easy.
no matter what, I really like choice. I like all of our candidates, but right now I am drawn to O'Malley.

I am eager to hear from every single Dem candidate, personally......as I remain in support of Bernie's camp.

In 2012, Hyers served as State Director for President Barack Obama’s campaign in Pennsylvania. In this position, he managed a staff of 400 and a budget of $32 million dollars. 2012 was Hyers second stint with the President. During 2004, he worked as Midwest Director for Obama’s ground-breaking campaign.
Hyers first earned his reputation for running upset campaigns by managing victories for Kristen Gillibrand (2006 Congress) and Michael Nutter (2007 Philadelphia Mayor). In both cases, Hyers worked with candidates who faced long odds but ended up winning on Election Day. Gillibrand received 53% of the vote; despite running in a district with a 2-1 Republican registration advantage. Nutter, who started out polling in last place, eventually won by 12%.
Time will tell, but I foresee him being a campaign manager -- since for now his is an advisor to the PAC. This is a guy, who may have had some losing campaigns (Thanks soley to the candidate's infidelity) like John Edwards — but he has had larger success and has experience with the working of government.
His working with the Obama campaign is also a huge plus.
Edited for a typo…

(11,543 posts)I keep reading a lot of good things with regards to O'Malley and the people that he is getting advice from. The more I read about him, and his plans for this country, the more I like. Can't wait till he announces his run for president.
