Martin O'Malley

I am leaving this piece of great news with my O;Malley compatriots.. My son who was also an O;Malley Precinct Captain during caucus.. has switched his graduate field from Bio-Medical to the Environment.. He will be an Environmental Scientist with focus of water and soil.. I am so over the moon proud of him
As most of you know, my biggest reason for my all out support of Gov. O;Malley was his incredible focus on the environment..
And my son working in his campaign had a passion for preserving the planet kindled by Gov. O'Malley...
He now sees where he can do the greater good for the larger number of people is working in Environmental Sciences..
My husband and I have always said, he has the heart of the activist who is willing to do the the work and not just talk about it,,

My landlord, at this great place in MD, has triplets attending their freshman year at colleges, and one of them wrote this piece,
https://www.oceanfdn.org/blog/cownose-ray-chesapeake-bay about Cownose Ray of the Chesapeake Bay. It's all very exciting!

(23,622 posts)But one I have to be honest with you makes more sense than Bio-Medical.. He has such a activist soul.. Money (besides meeting the daily needs of housing food and clothing) are pretty meaningless to him.. but he has this passion to reach out to others.. Its definitely a gift of the soul I guess.. And he comes from this 4-H background.. he is happiest outside.. so he was meant to be the guy in the field testing water and soil.. and one of his great passions is potable water for the future.. Interesting reading about the cownose ray.. She is absolutely right.. if the cownose ray is not an invasive species but one that has always existed in that environment.. getting rid of it might hurt the fisheries far more than their being there.. everything is interdependent over a course of time

In the next election cycle, the environment will be a much bigger issue.
It should have been this time, but a lot of that energy left when O'Malley withdrew from the race.
