O'Malley returns to Iowa ahead of weekend debate.

Martin O'Malley will spend two days in Iowa before travelling to South Carolina this weekend for the Democratic Party's fourth presidential debate.

The former Maryland governor who's struggled to compete in the race with rivals Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton will speak to the Des Moines Register's editorial board and on a panel discussing clean water in Cedar Rapids during his two-day trip.

THURSDAY, January 14

Des Moines: 2:00 p.m. meeting with the Des Moines Register editorial board

6:45 p.m., meeting with Ankeny Area Democrats, UAW Hall 4589 NW 6th Drive

FRIDAY, January 15

Cedar Rapids: 10 a.m., clean water roundtable at Indian Creek Nature Center, 6665 Otis Rd

Mount Vernon: 12 p.m., campaign stop at Cornell College Thomas Commons, 600 1st SW
