Martin O'Malley making campaign stops in Arkansas.

Former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley is making two campaign stops in Little Rock as the Democratic presidential hopeful swings through rival Hillary Clinton's adopted home turf.

O'Malley's campaign said he'll headline a college student town hall at Philander Smith College on Friday afternoon and will also appear at the Arkansas Democratic Black Caucus Christmas gala that night. O'Malley had already planned to headline a fundraising reception at a Little Rock home Friday.

O'Malley is running for the Democratic nomination against Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and Clinton, who served 12 years as Arkansas' first lady.

O'Malley is the latest among several presidential hopefuls to visit Arkansas since lawmakers moved up the state's primary from May to March 1, part of an effort to create a regional nominating contest among Southern states.
