Martin O'Malley to meet House Dems on Dec. 1.

Former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley will meet with House Democrats on Dec. 1, according to an invitation obtained by POLITICO.

The topic of the confab is “policy discussion and legislative business of the week.” O'Malley, who also served as mayor of Baltimore, is trailing Hillary Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) for the Democratic presidential nomination. Clinton has already met with House Democrats and various Democratic caucuses.

The O'Malley gathering will take place at 9 a.m. on the Tuesday after the Thanksgiving recess. Congress will be in the midst of wrangling over government funding. Government spending authority runs out Dec. 11, and the House and Senate need to come to agreement over various policy riders.
