*COMING RIGHT UP, MSNBC.EDIT.

Dealing with republicans: good thing, every congress is temporary.

And Dems need to select someone who can, but someone who can govern, call upon the legislature.

Hayes: You have more experience than others. Would have predicted you'd be higher up than now.

MO'M: People of country looking for change, and our party has had arrested development. People don't vote for angry, but for a Presdident, who can govern, can get things done. No one would have predicted '
inevitable frontrunner' would be 'down' at this point.

Campaign directed at the future, new leadership.

Hayes: main areas in debate?

M: Leadership vs. following polls/weathervane. Track record, ability to bring us together.

But, O'Malley needs to stop and listen to the questions asked. He's trying to cram so much of his resume into the few minutes he gets that he doesn't always answer the question. He is great on the stump and at retail politics. He just needs to get a bit better at these national interviews.

That said, Hayes has a huge chip on his shoulder about O'Malley. It's like he is offended that O'Malley is even running. I wish Hayes would have asked him more about gun control, etc. and let him talk about specific policy. That is where O'Malley shines and where there are clear differences with Hillary.
