Martin O'Malley
Related: About this forumI have an idea
I see that there are a couple of posts on the Primaries board about "the issues". I have replied to a couple of them, but not much "real" discussion is going on.
I just started a thread on the Primaries board about O'Malley's plan to take on the banks and Wall street. I gave a link and will see what happens. I have seen some really good stuff that some of you here have posted over there, but it drops fast. I think we should start more threads about O'Malley's plans that he has put out on different issues, and provide links. We might be able to get some discussion, real discussion, on the issues and point out that O'Malley has actual plans giving details on what he will do.
We can at least give it a try.

I try to share them whenever I can. It's really important stuff.
Definitely share them in GDP. Kick and recommend.

(26,291 posts)It is a good idea to post a link here when you have something in GD . There are a lot of people (myself included) who are fed up with that forum and have trashed it or ignore it. As I am sure you know, the rancor there is turning people off and virtually destroying any possibility of actually discussing issues.
I will head over to look for your post, and hope not to get hit by shrapnel. lol

(11,527 posts)I know what you are talking about, it's a war zone over there at times, and most of the post are just attacks, nothing of any substance, yet they keep being kicked up so they dominate the board.
Here is one I started today:

(11,527 posts)I think everyone here has done a great job of posting things about O'Malley. Sadly they just keep getting pushed off the page by the trashing and bashing posts. I guess all we can do is keep trying to get things out and hope that it might change the minds of some who read it, and get the to check out more information on O'Malley.

(2,798 posts)There seems to be much more hyperventilation and much less rational discussion outside of the O'Malley Group.
I find myself venturing "out there" infrequently nowadays. Our group has more of the atmosphere of one of O'Malley's home meetings.
Now and then a troublemaker drops by, and our great O'Malley Group hosts deal with it firmly and politely. Civil behavior is so refreshing.
Like a glass of water after too many hot tacos.

(11,527 posts)The Primaries board has been taken over by those who only want to dominate the board with trash and bash threads. It's like they don't want anyone to actually discuss the issue, or the facts about the candidates. So many posts are nothing more than right wing talking points and don't belong on a board for democrats.

The truth is more important than winning a contest.
