He's an 'outsider' if you catch my drift. 
He's got nothing to lose by running. He has no one he owes anything to in the House or the Senate! 
He's been playing in an entirely different Sandbox - and will alter the conversation when he enters the race!
he WILL alter the conversation, add a lot to it I'm sure, considering his experience and interests. He's definitely an outsider, which is good, and I hope lots of people recognize this.

There were three of us back in 2004-7 that had a blog that got a lot of traction. Then they figured out 'one was three' (the readers). And they stopped arguing with us! 
I was the liberal.
Another woman the moderate/center.
Another the Conservative.
We were Generation Whatever - now I'm justanothergen exer out there trying to shake things up and make things happen!

I'm just getting excited! It was another member who prompted me to give to his PAC a few months ago! When O'Malley and Webb formally declare - I think it's going to get a lot more reasonable in GD. IRL - O'Malley supporters - we want to have a discussion. We want workable solutions with the knowledge that if O'Malley wins - his first term is going to have to look a lot like an Obama administration - because he's going to have those god damned fools in the house to contend with. 
The Senate - I'm optimistic. They have a lot more current seats up for grabs than we do.
