Vermont: August 9th
RAD and the Center for Media and Democracy in Burlington will host a special roundtable discussion on Thursday, August 9th from 1-2:30PM, with Barkan and other national activists, called TURNING THE TIDE: How We Can Build a Movement Towards a New Social Contract and a Real Democracy.
The panel will feature Ady Barkan, along with other leading national social justice activists, including Cathy Albisa (Executive Director and Co-Founder at the National Economic & Social Rights Initiative), Ana Maria Archila (Co-Executive Director at the Center For Popular Democracy (CPD)), Tracey Corder(Racial Justice Campaign Director for the Center For Popular Democracy, Jennifer Flynn Walker (CPDs Mobilization and Advocacy program director), and James Haslam of Rights & Democracy. Moderated by Shay Totten.
The panel will be hosted at the Channel 17 studios at 294 N. Winooski Ave. in Burlington.
