Jeff spoke at Prospero's Books, a local, independent bookstore here in KC, that's been the site of many a progressive event. Jeff is a powerful speaker; his book: How Bernie Won: Inside the Revolution That's Taking Back Our Country and Where We Go From Here is an inside look at Bernie's 2015 / 2016 campaign and the goings on at the convention.

Jeff's book discusses how Bernie's campaign brought progressive issues (Medicare for All. expanding Social Security, Free College, etc) to the forefront of American political discourse.

He read an excerpt, which I loved. It was from FDR’s speech about a second bill of rights. FDR was never able to enact his vision for the second bill of rights, because he died in office. The platform that Bernie Sanders and progressive candidates inspired by Sanders campaign are reviving the call to enact the same rights as FDR brought up in that speech.
