The 2016 campaign of Bernie Sanders was an amazing experience for us all.

The mission of the Bernie Sanders Group is to discuss information and news about the life, career, accomplishments, and highlights of his 2016 Presidential campaign. The Bernie Sanders Group will provide a haven for those members of Democratic Underground who support Senator Sanders and his policies; to discuss his policy positions, speeches, interviews, and other public appearances and to discuss the causes which Senator Sanders has championed.

The Bernie Sanders Group is not a forum. This group serves as safe haven for members who share similar interests and viewpoints. Individuals who post messages contrary to this group's stated purpose can be excluded from posting, these decisions will be made by the current group hosts. All OPs about the 2016 Presidential campaign and the candidates belong in GD or GD 2016. Any and all posts about supporters of other groups will be immediately locked as will any discussion of other groups.

4. No it does not. This group can be read and alerted by anyone and is subject to

the same juries as the main forums and people need to keep in mind that there are few Senator Sanders supporters here.

It's true I don't post here very often, but it doesn't even show a month's worth of posts. (I had hoped to find some info to share with someone elsewhere.)

11. I have a question...

In looking over the Statement of Purpose for the Bernie Sanders Group I see that the stated mission was to discuss Bernie regarding the 2016 Presidential campaign. It is now 2017 and Bernie is doing a lot of great things and we are coming here to discuss what he's doing.

My question is this... Could you please update the Statement of Purpose to reflect on all things Bernie..? Or would that be a violation of the ToS because he's not a member of the Democratic Party..?

John Kerry does as well. Al Gore. Why should Bernie not have a place where we can post because honestly I have just stopped posting anything about him because of those 20 or so posters who just cannot get over him. They can't stand the fact that the Dems that are running things use him and accept him and did not shun him for losing Hillary's presidential run for her, all by himself. It is so childish and trollish.

I am not here often enough for it to matter much to me anymore so I just clicked IGNORE on most of them, they had nothing to say most of the time if Bernie was not the topic.

Go Bernie. Keep pushing and raising the bar.

19. I know, I meant that there was a post above

that suggested that this group should not be here because it was for the 2016 election. I think I may have overreacted that it meant that that person wanted him to not have a group here because he is not a Democrat. I do not know how it was meant so I very well could have taken that wrong. Anyway, my point was thinking that someone thought he should not have a group and I would question that since those others have groups still. That is all.

Never mind, just came in and am hot and not thinking well yet. I need to hydrate!

20. If people have a problem with this group being here for Bernie Sanders

and his supporters they can petition the admins to close it down. Yes Hydrate. Spring came in yesterday and today it's summer My daffodils never even bloomed.

21. Oh no!

Mine bloomed and we got freezing in the teens nighttime temps so they face planted. Poor things bent until the blooms were in the dirt. They came back up sort of looking the worse for wear. Odd year but I think this might be the new norm, never knowing. It is going to get tough figuring out when to plant!

I saw another thread pop up in GD asking to have the Bernie group removed from here. There were a few I had not iggied yet that thought that was a fine idea.

I haven’t posted on DU in years, and frankly had stopped even visiting much to read posts because of all of the Sanders bashing during the last election and beyond. I was here a few days ago, though, and found this group, so I figured I would give DU another chance. I’m not here to fight with any other Democrats or progressives, but I am unashamedly Still Sanders.
