Edibles.

After decades of imbibing (both pre- and currently legal!), I decided to see if edibles would be a better medium, given possible impacts on lungs & related from inhaling smoke.

After essentially OD-ing on banana bread (no disclosure...) made with MJ oil, and then having almost no effect from mints, I'm wondering if there is any advice out there to guide me on my adventure with edibles?

Thanks in advance!

Brownies, cookies, and more complex recipes take longer to break down and release. The fastest thing I've observed is "fortified" Jello.

fast acting, so can do spontaneously. And commercial.

Seems that MJ in baked goods have a too strong effect....and I had about a week-long hangover from the banana bread! Man, I stuffed it down without knowing the ingredients!

And when it does, I worry that it will never go away...

Do baked goods work faster somehow?

And last longer....

I first learned this my 1st summer out of high school, before starting college. A bunch of us hippies (1973) took MJ brownies to our fellow class graduate who was in his 1st months at WEST POINT!!! I can't believe we did this... I know I got extremely high, and always wondered how he made it!

And give yourself at least 30 minutes to understand just how stoned you are.

The handful of times I've tried edibles, a muddy, foggy "hangover" has resulted for a day or so after. It stays with you IMO. You got to do what works for you, though. I'd pay attention to Post #2's advice to respect the label.

Anything above that, at lease for me, makes for a rough following morning.

I find that a 10mg (indica) piece of chocolate takes about 2 hour to act. That's perfect for me. I use it to sleep and I take it at 6:30pm and I'm off to slumberland by 8:30ish. Edibles are not supposed to be quick acting.
