I'm contemplating getting a medical use card to help keep myself out of trouble, but wanted to check first to see if anyone's had any trouble.
Did your medical card show up in any preemployment background checks?
My town finally has a dispensary that sells tinctures, vape oils, and edibles soon. We're not allowed flowers (my preferred method).
So far the only apparent downside is the cost which looks like 250-300$ a year just for the card.

(38,269 posts)The card cost in Colorado is $16.10. The appointment cost, however, varies, depending where you go. But I haven't seen a place that charges less than $100. It's a bit of a racket, I think, but medical users have advantages over retailmore & stronger product, better pricing, & priority service. My dispensary will shuttle workers from the retail side over to the medical side, so med patients don't have to wait.
Wow! Here in Maryland it runs between $200-250 to get a mmj card. Then you have to find a recommending dr. Here on the eastern shore those drs are few & very far between. Theres only, at present, two dispensaries on the shore. Pathetic!!

(34,077 posts)cost about $160.00/two years, for doc and card. No one ever asked, I'm retired but have two small businesses. Might be a problem if you purchase a firearm.

(21,068 posts)I intend to renew mine as it protects me and also, I get a big reduction in price w/it of 40%.
They don't keep "lists". I know because I asked.
I would renew it because if you are a medical user, it really is your best protection IMO.
Take care!
