No Debate: Antiwar Voices Absent from Corporate TV News Ahead of U.S. Attacks on Iraq & Syria/Video

MSM Corruption is something long past time we need to address with a Populist/Progressive Agenda. This is well worth the watch report from Peter Hart of "FAIR" (Fairness & Accuracy in Media) about the same disgraceful "Talking Heads" who helped lead us into Invading Iraq are back out there and there was little opposition from Democrats.

Well worth the Watch because without MSM Representation there won't be any way that Progressive/Populists Message can be heard. So we either need to find a way to pressure our MSM with a Campaign like the "Conservatives and War Machine Advocates" have done now for decades ..or things will go on as usual. We need to target FCC and find a way to do actions working to pressure other "Established Left Groups" to find effective actions. In all these years of Netroot's Activism why do we still have the MSM promoting Think Tank/RW/War Monering, MIC programming. We get MSNBC but, the people who really speak to we on the Left are either Fired or Marginalized by Corporate Pressure or they learn to "Speak the Corporate Speak."

No Debate: Antiwar Voices Absent from Corporate TV News Ahead of U.S. Attacks on Iraq & Syria

Published on Nov 18, 2014
http://democracynow.org - A new analysis of corporate TV news has found there was almost no debate about whether the United States should go to war in Iraq and Syria. The group Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting found that of the more than 200 guests who appeared on network shows to discuss the issue, just six voiced opposition to military action. The report, titled "Debating How — Not Whether — to Launch a New War," examines a two-week period in September when U.S. involvement in Iraq and Syria dominated the airwaves. The report also finds that on the high-profile Sunday talk shows, out of 89 guests, there was just one antiwar voice — Katrina vanden Heuvel, editor of The Nation.

We speak to Peter Hart, activism director at FAIR.

BTW: don't freak out when you see Kissinger's photo....it's just clips of MSM News to start the report on "DN."

At least when the Bush War Criminals were getting ready to start their illegal war, the LEFT was out there, doing everything they could to try to stop them.

Now there is a deafening silence.

So I'm thinking that the opposition from the Left wasn't entirely for principles, that much of it was purely political.

Is there any opposition from the Right btw? I haven't seen any. So I guess at least they are consistent in their support for war.

A biased media allowed this to happen to the nation.

"A force for good."

What a fucking joke. The MIC won't even allow a debate. It is all about corporate profit.

The American people, by and large, do not even recognize there has been a sea change. They don't recognize this because TV media is completely one sided.

They knew they had to get rid of the Fairness Doctrine. That was the first act.
