Senator Clinton: Populists, please help me out.
Of the bills and amendments originally introduced by Senator Clinton, which passed both houses of Congress?
I don't want to know about bills that she co-sponsored, only bills that originated with her, and especially those that have nothing to do with 911.
Thank you.

Did you find anything?

(6,440 posts)...the only one to pass both houses was honoring National Purple Heart Recognition Day.
This resolution was introduced in a previous session of Congress and though it was passed by both chambers on July 30, 2007 it was passed in non-identical forms and the differences were never resolved.
Most of the bills she sponsored seemed to revolve around naming things after people, including naming a highway after Tim Russert.

I find this funny, given that the questions from her DU supporters to her DU critics have been?
1. Besides her vote (advocacy actually, but who's counting) on Iraq, what in her Senate record do you object to?
Turns out that may be a trick question. We sure know the Iraq part is. How you can discount advocacy for a war in which no one believed?
2. How many bills did Sanders get passed?
Wouldn't it be funny if the correct answer turned out to be, "As least as many as Hillary, maybe more--and many more amendments than Hillary?"

(6,440 posts)Two were naming post offices after people (that seems to be about 90% of what the Senate does), but the other one was to do with increasing veterans' benefits to keep pace with the cost of living. It shows where his priorities lie.

(45,251 posts)Someone had to pass a bill to all veteran's benefits to increase with inflation?
Fuckers and their wars and their mercenaries and your mother. (not meaning the mother of nxylas or any DUer. Just mimicking an expression a friend claimed was said by Hispanic people when speeches were given on TV during the days of the Cuban missile crisis: "Cuba and Castro and your mother." No clue if this is accurate, but it had a nice ring to it.)
Good for Bernie, though. Voted against the Iraq War, but tries to make sure vets don't suffer too much. If I had a Senate vote, that's how I'd use it.
